Poplar Forest
Jefferson’s
Recently, I took the occasion to visit Thomas Jefferson’s
Poplar Forest. It’s only about an hour’s drive from the lake, and
is an awesome historical treasure. It was originally a Bedford
County plantation known by the name “Poplar Forest”, owing to
the abundance of such trees on the property.
