Well, the Holidays are upon us
again, and that signals the onset of
winter dormancy for our gardens.
Expectations of fresh produce and
dirt under our fingernails will have to
wait until the spring thaw. Of course,
there are some winter treats like
amaryllis, poinsettia, and the ever
present aroma of fresh cut Christmas
trees to help keep us in touch with
mother nature’s gifts until the rebirth

seemingly no lack of retail offerings
to pack presents under the tree,
helping us to maintain smiles
through uncertain times. That was
last year… there is less certainty
about this years availability of
presents, but at least there's the ever
present Christmas tree… or is there?
