Bowhunters would love to
have you consider joining as a
member. Normal membership
runs from January 1st until
December 31st of the same
year. When joining Blackwater
Bowhunters, Inc., you receive
5
practice paper targets and
14
tournament paper targets.
The targets are set in ranges
from 20ft to 80yds. These
will be open at no cost to
members. You will have access
to instructors, champions,
and world game harvesters,
who
will
enthusiastically
offer pointers to improve
your game harvesting and/or
competition skills. Everyone’s
welcome regardless of age, sex,
background, or experience.
The club recognizes all
shooting equipment, styles
and techniques, and boasts
the only archery range in the
state that allows crossbows,
not only on the range but
also in all competitions.
They participate in monthly
tournaments
throughout
the Commonwealth that are
sanctioned by the Virginia
Bowhunters Association. It’s
a great opportunity to travel
around Virginia, learn more
about this exciting sport, and
enjoy the fellowship of your
fellow outdoorsmen.
Their annual Fall
Festival continues
to grow in size and
scope.Within the last
two years, the festival
has grown from about
300
people to an
estimated 800 to 1,000
people for this years’

th annual event,
thanks to the efforts
