Hi Tim:
Thanks for the colorful and attention getting article you presented in the Spring
Issue of Discover Smith Mountain Lake about the SML Women’s Club. We really
appreciated the opportunity to let more of the SML community know of our club and
it’s activities.
Our GameFest was very successful with a lot of door prizes and sponsors from the
community businesses. Our turnout was especially good and hopefully we will have
about $6,500 to donate back to the local charities here at the lake.
Thank you also for making the community announcements each month on WSLK.

Hello,
I was reading your Spring 2013 magazine and the article Early to Biscuits contains a
blatant error. On page 33 is a picture of General J.E.B. Stuart prominently displayed instead
of a supposed General Jubal Early.
There was no reference to Stuart in the article so I am assuming that it is in error.

Hi Gremmie! I am the cat that you shared the photo with on page 23 in “Who let the cat out of the bag?”
My picture was chosen for the Meow Mix bags. This was a few years ago when my caretaker was associated
with a shelter in Pittsburgh. My “grandparents” (Jean and Alan Frederick) now live at SML and spotted my
mug shot and your butt --- By the way, who is that cool cat with the sun glasses and wine bottle?
And who has the fish tank transport tube in their house? That would be fun to watch?

It is so nice to hear from you! I always appreciate hearing from a fellow feline celebrity.
We get pictures from a number of different sources, so I am sorry to say that I don’t know the identity
of the “cool cat”, nor do I know specifically who has the fish tank transport, which was printed over my
strenuous objections. I am presently pushing for legislation that would mandate severe penalties for any
human who teases cats.
Thanks again for writing... I have to get off line now before whats-his-name finds out I’ve been using his
computer again.
